Hyundai Solar Co., Ltd. (South Korea) looked for investment opportunities in Southeast Quang Tri Economic Zone

On June 14th, 2012, Hyundai Solar Co., Ltd. (South Korea) had a working session to find out investment opportunities in the Southeast Quang Tri Economic Zone.
Participants included Mr. Park Dong Hyun as the delegation leader from Hyundai Solar Co., Ltd; Mr. Quoc Ho Hiep Nghia, Deputy Director from the Department of Industry and Trade (host) and representatives of relevant departments; Mr. Tran Quang Trung, Deputy Head from Economic Zone Management Board.
At the meeting, the Department of Industry and Trade provided necessary information on the potential of renewable energy project in Quang Tri Province and the necessary procedures for approval; The Economic Zone Management Board recommends investors some places to invest in solar projects in Southeast Economic Zone such as Gio Hai, Gio Thanh Commune (Gio Linh), Trieu Trach, Trieu An Commune (Trieu Phong). In the afternoon of the same day, Leaders of Economic Zone Management Board and Department of Industry and Trade led the delegation of Hyundai Solar Co., Ltd. to carry out a field survey at the proposed sites.
After surveying the field, the delegation met and reported to the Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Quan Chinh. Welcoming Hyundai Solar Co., Ltd. Mr. Nguyen Quan Chinh said that the Government was very interested in renewable energy and wanted to attract and call for investors in renewable energy. In the future, Quang Tri wanted to be the power center in the central region of Vietnam. Mr. Nguyen Quan Chinh emphasized that Quang Tri province is committed to creating favorable conditions by providing information and handling administrative procedures for investors.
In the near future, Hyundai Solar Co., Ltd. will continue to study and survey more locations in Quang Tri to select the most suitable place before the two parties sign a memorandum.
