A notable highlight of the Forum was its forward-looking approach, transitioning from basic connectivity to deeper development linkages. The thematic sessions focused not only on showcasing regional potential but also on identifying critical bottlenecks in cross-border cooperation. Key issues such as logistics infrastructure, customs facilitation, and investment environment were comprehensively discussed, with practical and actionable solutions proposed. The Forum reaffirmed the strategic importance of the EWEC as a transnational economic axis connecting Myanmar, Thailand, Laos, and Viet Nam. It continues to play a pivotal role in promoting regional integration, facilitating trade and investment flows, advancing sustainable tourism, and strengthening the longstanding and special friendship between Viet Nam and Lao PDR.
