On January 22, 2025, at the office of Quang Tri Provincial People's Committee, the signing ceremony of the memorandum of understanding on cooperation in the field of carbon credit creation and agricultural materials in Quang Tri province took place between Quang Tri Provincial People's Committee and Eni Natural Energies Vietnam Company Limited (ENE VN). Acting Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Ha Sy Dong chaired the working session, and the ceremony was also attended by Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Le Duc Tien and representatives of relevant Departments and Authorities.

Speaking at the ceremony, Acting Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Ha Sy Dong affirmed that with many distinct potentials, comparative advantages, and outstanding opportunities, Quang Tri has all the conditions for rapid and sustainable development, becoming a reliable and attractive destination for domestic and international investors. In order to maximize the advantages of the province, in recent times, the province has been accelerating the completion of investment procedures for a number of key projects to develop new transport infrastructure. In the field of energy, the province always determines sustainable development and effectively exploits potential.

With the motto "business development - Quang Tri development", Quang Tri province always welcomes and accompanies investors to Quang Tri for cooperation and development. By 2050, Quang Tri will become a province with a strong economy with the main structure being industry - services and will be one of the driving forces for development of the North Central and Central Coast regions according to the Quang Tri Provincial Planning for the period 2021-2030, with a vision to 2050 approved by the Prime Minister.
The vibrant development of Quang Tri province is currently promoted by a series of key programs and projects, including many projects of investors from many countries around the world, including the Italian Eni Group.
Acting Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Ha Sy Dong suggested that ENE Vietnam promote the implementation of cooperation mechanisms, coordinate the development of practical activities in Quang Tri on the basis of the contents of the memorandum; at the same time, expressed hope that today's working session will help Quang Tri province and ENE Vietnam Energy Company continue to build a comprehensive and responsible cooperative relationship and aim to contribute to the effective implementation of international commitments on the ecological environment of Vietnam and Italy.
Mr. Giacomo Spadini - CEO of ENE Vietnam Company said that before the working session with the People's Committee of Quang Tri province, the delegation had a survey trip to some key projects of the province such as Quang Tri Industrial Park (QTIP), My Thuy Deep Sea Port Project, Quang Tri Provincial Airport Project. Mr. Spadini highly appreciated the locations as well as infrastructure projects that the delegation visited and learned about.

At the end of the working session, the two sides agreed to sign the Memorandum of Understanding on Cooperation in the field of carbon credit creation and agricultural materials in Quang Tri province in the presence of delegates from both sides.
