With the approval of the Party Central Committee and the Chairman of the National Assembly, Mr. Le Quang Tung, Member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Quang Tri Provincial Party Committee, and Head of the Quang Tri Provincial National Assembly Delegation, participated in the official visit to the Russian Federation as part of the high-level Vietnamese National Assembly delegation led by Mr. Tran Thanh Man, Member of the Politburo and Chairman of the National Assembly, from September 8-10, 2024. Accompanying the delegation was Mrs. Le Thi Lan Huong, Member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee and Head of the Quang Tri Provincial Party Committee’s Mass Mobilization Department.
Secretary of the Quang Tri Provincial Party Committee, Le Quang Tung held a working session with Gazprom International and the Vietnam National Oil and Gas Group (PVN).
As part of his working program, Secretary of the Quang Tri Provincial Party Committee, Le Quang Tung, had a working session with the leadership of Gazprom International and the Vietnam National Oil and Gas Group (PVN) to discuss and explore measures to promote the development of the Quang Tri gas-fired power plant project, with Gazprom International as the investor. Following that, the Secretary participated in a meeting between the National Assembly Chairman and Gazprom Group to discuss enhancing economic and investment cooperation between Gazprom and Vietnamese partners, including Quang Tri province.
Earlier, Secretary Le Quang Tung attended the flower-laying ceremony at the Ho Chi Minh statue in Moscow; visited and met with the staff of the Vietnamese Embassy and the Vietnamese community in Russia; participated in the third session of the Vietnam-Russia Interparliamentary Cooperation Committee; and took part in various other important activities as assigned by the National Assembly Chairman.
